Teen Skincare Tips

Puberty plays havoc on many systems within the body as we are changing from child to adult. Proper skincare is essential because you are fighting acne, oily skin, dry skin, or a combination of skins that make it difficult to find that perfect skincare system. There are some skincare tips that will ensure your face is as beautiful as you dreamed, and generally, these skincare tips do not cost an arm and a leg.

Our skin products a natural oil called sebum. The production of sebum starts kicking into overdrive when we all reach puberty. Unfortunately, sebum can clog pores and cause skin irritation, oily skin, and/or acne. While you cannot stop your production of sebum, you can help fight the acne that plagues many teens as they reach puberty.

Wash your face twice a day. Now, when I say wash your face, I do NOT mean scrub off the top layer of skin. You need to be gentle. Wash in circular motions. If you have trouble skin, you can purchase a mild cleanser or soap made for the skin that can help you with your skincare. Do not always trust body soap to get the job done.

When you do get pimples, do NOT pop them! Pimples are a form of isolated infection forming into a blackhead or whitehead. When you pop a pimple, you can spread that infection to more areas or even push the infection further into your face which can cause swelling, redness, and irritation, Most pimples will go away on their own, but you will find ways to fight pimples too!

If you wear makeup, remove that makeup nightly with a good makeup remover. In addition, look for makeup that says “nonacnegenic” or “noncomedogenic”. You will also want to replace all makeup within 6 months. However, if the makeup starts looking funny or smelling “off”, you should toss that makeup and purchase new makeup or cosmetics.

Living a full, healthy life starts with a well-balanced meal plan that includes regular exercise. Reports are always changing on what is healthy these days, but generally speaking, you will know when you are living a healthy lifestyle. Cosmetic Tips: Mascara

If you have ever seen a model’s eyelashes, you realize how amazing your whole body will look with the right mascara. But it is not only important to find the perfect mascara, but it is important to know how to apply that mascara to perfection.

Cosmetics cover a wide array of applications covering just about the whole body. But for mascara, you will generally find that the eyelashes are the main target. Here are a few tips to ensure you have amazing eyelashes.

Replace that mascara on a regular basis such as every 3 months. With old mascara, you will have a dry, clumpy look that is not very appealing. You can easily find a great brand that is affordable too! One idea is to always switch mascaras with the changing of the season.

With a hand mirror, apply your mascara while holding the hand mirror at the end of your nose. You will find you get the entire lash without the missing or smudging. Ick!

Pull the mascara brush slowly through the lash wiggling back and forth. This will give you amazing length and added volume. The added volume does not take more than one GOOD stroke. With practice, you will find it is easy to apply your mascara perfectly each time.

Play with colors. Many people stick to black or a bright color such as blue. Just as different eye shadows look different on different people, you will find different mascaras work for different people too! Explore the color ranges to find which is perfect for your lifestyle and body type.

Clean the brush! Many people are conflicted on cleaning the mascara brush, but about once a week, a good rinsing under hot water will give a good brush a needed cleaning. Mascara can clump on the brush making a mess of your eyes and your clothes.

3 Beauty Tricks for a Beautiful Body

When it comes to cosmetics, perfumes, and other types of beauty supplies, you will find that Kelly’s Health offers a natural, wonderfully original solution for your needs. However, there are things you can do at home that will improve the quality of your life while you look radiantly beautiful. More importantly, you will find some things just make you feel better.

Take a look at these 3 beauty tricks that can easily improve your quality of life without even leaving the home…

1 – Carrot Facial Mask… a face mask can make just about anyone feel amazing. The skin comes to life and receives the nutrients it needs to work with you. For a wonderful carrot facial mask, cook 2-3 large carrots until soft. Mash the carrots thoroughly and add 4 tablespoons of honey. Apply the facial to your wet skin and allow to set for 10 minutes. Rinse off with cool water for a wonderfully refreshing new look and feel.

2 – Whiten Your Nails… If you have discolored fingernails or toenails, you will find that it is easy to whiten the nails. Scrub your nails with a whitening toothpaste. Yes, it is that easy. This process may take time. You should purchase a new toothbrush for this to ensure you do not spread germs or debris to your mouth.

3 – Exfoliate… Sea salt is absolutely wonderful when you want to remove dead, flaky skin. All you need to do is wet the body part (even the face) and apply a couple tablespoon of sea salt to a wet washrag. Gently rub the area with the treated washcloth avoiding the eye area. Leave on for a couple minutes and rinse with cool water. This is SO easy! This should only be done once a week to avoid over treating the skin.

Keeping Those Essential Oils Safe

There are many tips and hints when it comes to aromatherapy and essential oils. While some essential oils are meant to be placed directly on the skin, other types are mean to be enjoyed via other senses. The type of essential oils you purchase will dictate how that substance is used.

There are many types of carriers, but the safest will be a vegetable oil carrier. Olive oil is exceptionally popular because of its neutral properties and natural resistance to allergens many people may suffer from other types of carriers.

Knowing how to keep those essential oils in good working order is going to benefit you and your budget. Take a look at a few tips when it comes to essential oils!

Store those essential oils in a cool, dark location such as a cabinet or drawer. Heat and direct sunlight will often ruin the essential oils so it is important to keep out of direct sun. The temperature will need to be cool without being excessively cold or hot.

Always ready the label looking for cautions and warnings. Be sure to follow those cautions or warnings to insure you do not harm yourself, others, or other surfaces. If you do not see a label, you can use the internet!

Never, under any circumstances, consume the essential oils in questions. Essential oils are not intended for consumption. Only consume or cook with oils that have been approved for human consumption.

Before applying the essential oil, test a piece on a part of your skin such as a part of the leg or foot. Some allergic reactions can cause irritation to the skin or worse. If itching, burning, redness, or irritation occurs, stop the use of that oil immediately!
On a closing note, if you are pregnant, be cautious with the type of essential oils you use. There are some substances you should avoid even in essential oils while pregnant
