Ear Ache Remedy

When you get an earache there is lots of suffering. If your child has an earache, everyone in the family suffers. It does not have to be said that it is essential to find a great remedy to relieve those painful earaches.

To start, it is important to remember that there are many causes of an earache. Some earaches can be treated at home and some earaches require medical attention. If you do not know what causes your earaches, you will want to see your physician.

Here is a list of some of the common causes of earaches...

-Allergies
-Colds
-Changes in air pressure (especially on a plane)
-Sinus infections
-Teeth problems
-Infection of the middle ear
-Something is stuck in your ear
-Ear wax or fluid buildup
-Ear injuries

You must be wondering... how you can prevent earaches and infections?

-Do not put things in your ear, even cotton balls and q-tips. People do not realize that you can do significant damage by putting something in your ear. Plus, you might get something stuck!

-Try to avoid smoky areas. This is not just limited to cigarettes and cigars. This also includes environments with hazy smoke where there is a lot of pollution. This can increase your chance of getting an infection.

-When swimming wear simple earplugs or try to keep water out of your ears.

How can you treat earaches at home?
-A simple warm washcloth can help with relief
-Chewing gum can often help, particularly if your earache is due to pressure changes
-Try to yawn. Yawning can be a powerful solution
-Try an earache remedy, such as Kopec's Kid's Ear Relief. This product is all natural and completely safe. And it is a lot cheaper than having to see a physician.
-Try to pop your ears. You can do this by holding your nose closed and gently blowing.
-Take a hot shower or bath. Steam can often help break up built up wax.

Try out these great tips brought to you by Kelly's Health so you can avoid those earaches and get rid of them!

Treating and Preventing Ear Infections

Otitis Media with Effusion is another term for ear infection. Often considered a natural and inevitable occurrence in infants and child, ear infections cause discomfort and other unpleasant symptoms. However, you do not have to treat most ear infection with antibiotics, which happens to be a common practice.

Treating ear infections with antibiotics is not necessary in up to 97% of cases. Overuse of antibiotics can reduce your natural resistance to many bacteria. Therefore, if you can avoid antibiotics, avoid them!

Ear infections are going to cause more discomfort at night or directly upon rising from a laying position. Most ear infections are caused by water buildup in the middle ear. This means that when your child changes positions, your child is disturbing that water level within the ear.

So how can you avoid and/or treat ear infections?

First, if you do not know the severity of the ear infection, you should always err on the side of caution and take your child to his or her doctor or caregiver. However, just because your child tugs at his or her ear does not mean your child has an infection. If your child has a fever, visit your doctor immediately.

Never stick anything in the ear. This means anything. No bobby pins, paper, or even cotton swabs. While you may be thinking that you are cleaning the ear, you are actually pushing that waxy buildup further into the ear – not a good thing!

If you use an ear rinse, be sure you are instructed by your physician on how to use that ear rinse.

Keep ears warm in the winter with a cap or little ear muffs – how cute!

Finally, stock up on Kids Ear Relief by Kopec Naturals for those unexpected emergencies!
