Traveling With Baby Products

Traveling with baby supplies can be tedious if you are not prepared. If you are prepared, you will find you simply breeze through security. Baby products can include just about anything you use for your baby or infant from diapers to formula.

Airlines are under a lot of pressure to ensure the safety and security of passengers. Since you are carrying baby products, you are most likely traveling with a baby or infant. The first rule of thumb is give plenty of time to get through security If your child gets overly fussy, you can ask for a private screening.

Some things you may be taking with you…
  • Baby lotion, oils, and creams,
  • Stroller,
  • Portable playpen,
  • Formula, bottles, water, juices, snacks, and nipples,
  • Breast pump,
  • Medications,
  • Baby toys, stuffed animals, games,
  • Clothes,
  • Diaper bag,
  • Diapers, wipes, soiled diaper containers, changing blanket.
If you want to get your things on the airplane it is a good idea to be ready for anything. Airport security can ask to inspect anything further – even your baby. Of course, you must remain calm and ensure your children remain calm as well.

Older children should be taught that when entering the airport, it is time to be on his or her best behavior. Cranky children are understandable, but getting plenty of rest, using the restroom, and preparing are important when entering the airport.

Traveling with baby products follows the same rules as other people. All liquids should be placed in a clear bag for inspection. Do not wait for airport security to find that liquid formula at the bottom of your bag. Instead, declare all your liquids regardless of the age of the recipient.

When it is time to travel with children, you will discover it is not too difficult if you follow just a few basic, commonsense rules.
